O you who believe, when the call to prayer is made on ‘ yawmil-jumua’h’ hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off all business. That is better for you,if you know  (62:9)

In Arabic yawmil-jumua’h literally means the day of congregation. This day (i.e Friday) is also known as:

Sayyidul-ayyaam the master of all days.In Islam, just as Makkah is the most preferred city and Ramadhan is the most blessed month, Friday is superior to the other six days of the week. The Holy Prophet (saw) has said:

“Friday is the master of all the (other) days, and its greatness with Allah is More than the day of Adh-ha and the day of Fitr”.

Yawmul-Eid  the day of rejoicing. Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) has been reported saying:

“Present to your family members some fruits on every Friday so that they may rejoice (are delighted with Friday)”.

Yawmul-Ijaabah the day of acceptance. The Holy Prophet (saw) has said:

“Friday is the best of all days of the week. Good (deed) done on Friday earns many rewards and supplications are (also) accepted”.

Some of the other names given to Friday are:

Yawmul-Barakah  the day of blessing

Yawmul-Karaamah the day of honor

Ywamul-mazeed  the day of abundance

Friday is different from Jewish Saturday (Sabbath) and Christian Sunday.Jews believe that Saturday is primarily a commemoration of god’s ending his work and resting on the seventh day.Work is forbidden on this day but there is no mention of prayer or worship.Christians changed the Saturday to Sunday.According to the Holy Qur’an, Allah (SWT) needs no rest, nor does He feel fatigue.

Allah ! There is no god save He, the ever-living, the self-subsisting (by whom all subsist). Slumber does not seize Him, nor does sleep.

S.V.Mir Ahmad Ali writes in is commentary of the Holy Qur’an:

Islam says: when the time of Jumua’h prayer comes, discontinue every activity and answer the call to prayer, meet earnestly, pray, consult and learn by social contact; and when the meeting is over, scatter and go about your business”

                                                                                            To be continued next Friday.

Mufaddhal was one of the most remarkable companions of Imam Ja’ffar as-Sadiq (as). One day, as he was passing through the market of Kufa, in Iraq, he saw two followers of Imam quarrelling with each other. Mufaddhal came closer and asked them why they were quarrelling. It seemed that the quarrel was over some kind of inheritance and one of them was claiming a sum of four hundred dirhams from the other.

When Mufaddhal heard this story, he took both of them to his house. There he gave the money to the claimant, made them friends again and pleaded with them to live in peace.

When they were leaving, Mufaddhal told them,

“ Verily this money is not from me but from my master Ja’ffar ibn Muhammad (as) who has permitted me to use it for maintaining peace amongst the believers”.

When two believers are quarrelling, Islam teaches us to make peace between them and not to add wood to the fire.Whoever encourages a fight or quarrel is not a believer, but a devil in the form of a human being.

I was wondering if you ever carefully changing the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a miniature more in the way of content so people could associate with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

A standard stroller could be the most widespread sort. It has 4 wheels and also a sturdy frame. Most standard strollers have reclining seats that allow utilizing exactly the same unit for your child from infant to toddler. Strollers that convert to auto seats are convenient for traveling. The stroller should have quality suspension to help keep your baby’s ride comfortable and smooth.

Hello! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.|
